Q: I have rosacea and I need a foundation (oil free) with a hint of green to take away the redness. Any suggestions?

A: If your rosacea isn't severe, I would recommend using a yellow based foundation as the yellow will cancel out the redness and look much more natural. Bobbi Brown's foundation's are wonderful in covering redness as they are quite yellow based. You have to be very careful in wearing a foundation with a hint of green all over your face as this will not match your skin. Also blending is very key when using any unnatural color on your skin to try to cover an area up. However, MAC makes a product called Tint which comes in a variety of colors, one of which is a pale green tint to add to foundation or put on skin under foundation. This may work very well for you. Another option is using a green tinted concealer underneath your foundation. A number of lines are offering these options including Chanel. Good luck!
