Q: I'd like to try some of the new spring eye shadow colors but I feel clueless about which ones would even look good on me. What shades are best for different eye colors?
A: If you aren't shy about color, you're going to love this season's new shades. From bright corals to eye-catching blues, these are definitely not basic brown! There are also some fun new textures to choose from, like the light creamy Eye Color Wash from Calvin Klein, the soft sheen of Stila Eye Gloss, or the high shine of Chanel Eye Lacquer. For brown eyes, try royal blue. It's makes for a great contrast! For blue eyes, try orange. This is not for the faint of heart! Personally, having blues eyes myself, I prefer something softer like pale gold or sheer pink-peach. For green eyes, try purple or blue. Again, it creates contrast, so the green in your eyes stands out. Remember to keep your lips understated, and don't go overboard on the blush. If the focus is on your eyes, strong makeup on the rest of your face will look overdone and clownish.
