What is the best makeup for VERY oily skin? I’ve tried several brands and they all melted before mid-day.

The first thing to control your oily skin is to make sure you don’t over stimulate it by too vigorous or harsh scrubbing, masks, etc. Be gentle! Another tip - and I know this sounds weird - often using products with a little oil works far better
than the oil-free products. Oil-free seems to encourage skin to
produce even MORE oil. Have you tried Origins
cleansing products for “confused skin” or “if your skin acts
oily”?

Have you tried using a mattifying lotion? Some good ones are
Guinot Matt Finish Normalizer, Philosophy never let them see you shine and Origins Zero Oil. These products go on before
your foundation and help keep the shine away a bit longer!

But back to makeup - I’d recommend you use a makeup with just a
little oil. You will probably still have to blot during the day
(try blotting tissues by Shiseido or Neutrogena), but it should
last longer. Foundations to try: MAC Hyper Real foundation
(natural looking even in daylight, light-reflecting particles
are kind to older skin), Cover Girl CG Smoothers Tinted
Moisturizer for lighter coverage, or L’Oreal Colour Endure.
