What is the best facial cleanser on the market right now?

There are so many cleansers on the market that it really would be impossible to determine which one is the “best.” It all depends on preference: cream, lotion, bar soaps, lots of lather, no lather, etc. The most important factor in selecting from the
vast array is to choose one suitable for your skin type. The cleanser you choose should effectively remove makeup without tugging or pulling and leave your face soft and smooth after rinsing. Any uncomfortable tightness or burning after rinsing means you’ve picked the wrong one. Finding the perfect cleanser may be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but you will definitely know when you’ve found one that works!

Here are a few suggestions:

For a normal-to-oily skin type: If you like lather, try Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Foaming Gel Cleanser, Origins Mint Wash,
MAC’s new Green Gel Cleanser or 5S Foam Cleansersicon.

For little to no lather, try Serious Skin Care Glycolic Cleanser, Cetaphilicon or Joey New York Pure Pores Cleansing Gelicon.

For a normal-to-dry skin type: If you like a little foam, try
Oil of Olay Daily Facials (normal to dry), Sage Facial Shampoo or Garden Botanika Skin Renewing Gentle Foaming Cleanser.

A few good non-lathering lotion or milky cleansers include
Molton Brown Total Face Cleanser, Dr. Dennis Gross MD Skincare All in One Facial Cleanser with Toner, Rachel Perry Citrus-Aloe Cleanser & Face Wash or Herbal Cream Facial Cleanser.
